In the fall of 2010, I joined an emerging Boston-based startup called Where. As a member of the growing UX team, I helped out with everything from app design, to user testing, to web design for their location-based discovery app. I soon became the sole designer on WhereAds, our location-based mobile advertising network. With Where's proprietary geo-fence technology, we designed engaging ad campaigns for local clients to help drive business in an increasingly mobile world.

Big players took notice, and in April of 2011, we were acquired by eBay/PayPal. WhereAds became the PayPal Media Network, and we expanded our team in order to serve the needs of national clients such as Best Buy, Taco Bell, and Levi's. As experts in the mobile advertising field, we created innovative, engaging ad experiences that people wanted to interact with. By harnessing geofence technology, we served ads that were relevant to the individual at an exact time and place.
